Surgical Instruments for Robotic Microsurgery
• Micro-scale surgery requires a very technically advanced skill set, including high hand-eye coordination and little-tono hand tremor. • To improve microsurgical procedures, such as vein suturing, we have developed tools for the REMS, a cooperativelycontrolled surgical robot that reduces tremor when operating. • Our goal is to design effective needle holders and validate the use of the REMS by...
متن کاملConstruction of Second Order Slope - Rotatable Designs
In this paper, a new method of construction of three and five level second order slope-rotatable designs (SOSRD) using two suitably chosen dissimilar incomplete block designs like balanced incomplete block designs and symmetrical unequal block arrangements with two unequal block sizes is developed. The method of construction of SOSRD by Victorbabu and Narasimham [11] is shown to be a particular...
متن کامل- Sutherland model
We demonstrate that the exact form-factors of the Calogero-Sutherland model which were recently found in [10] in confirmation of the congectures earlier made by Haldane (Ref. [9]) can be reproduced in the framework of some bosonization procedure in momentum space. This observation implies a possibility of an exact bosonization of this model describing one-dimensional anyons.
متن کاملEndodontic microsurgery.
The field of endodontics has seen vast improvements in technology and techniques over the past several years. Perhaps the one area of endodontics that has improved the most is the way in which surgery is performed. With the use of state-of-the-art instruments, new and improved materials, and a surgical operating microscope, the gap has narrowed between biological concepts and the ability to ach...
متن کاملRobotic microsurgery
Conventional microsurgery requires large incisions and extensive dissection while it is performed in a small operating field. In this context, the concept of endoscopic microsurgery appears to be a logical evolution. We rely on four years of practical experience using the Da Vinci robot at the European Institute of telesurgery in Strasbourg, France. To date, 50 patients have been operated on by...
